InTRANSIT – Friday, September 4, 2020, at 6-7:00pm
InTRANSIT is a walk, bike, drive-by migratory, outdoor performance taking place in various locations of the Grand Center Arts District in St. Louis. In an effort to work together as a creative community, 20+ dancers and a handful of musicians offer viewers an opportunity to experience these beautiful art forms in real time and socially distant space.
Between 6:00-6:30pm, five groups of dancers and musicians will perform simultaneously at five different locations within the Grand Center area. Viewers can watch the performances at the Grand Center Arts Academy Plaza, The Sheldon (on the steps and plaza), and Park-Like (across from the Pulitzer Arts Foundation).
Viewers are welcome to walk, bike, or drive to one of the other listed locations between 6-6:30pm to see different groups of performers in different spaces. To conclude the program, the dancers and musicians will travel from their on-site locations to Strauss Park for the final ensemble performance between 6:45-7pm.InTRANSIT is a free public performance. To prevent social gatherings of large groups, no seating will be provided.

We can talk about dance as being luscious, full-bodied, and elegant, or light, crisp, and lively just as we would describe a certain wine, a piece of music, or a delicious flavor.
Karlovsky & Company Dance creates a sensory journey through this progressive performance of site-specific dance playfully paired with live music, culinary treats, and wines matched with the qualities of movement, music, theme, and environment.
Joining the dancers of Karlovsky & Company Dance are musicians:
Mo Egeston (piano)
Harvey Lockhart (saxophone)
Lance Garger (percussion)
Tory Z Starbuck (electronics)
Kalo Hoyle (bass)
Wine pairings and culinary treats by Chef Samantha Pretto of the Dark Room!
